As above, a powered USB hub might fix the problem.

It's heavily dependant on if there are grounding problems with the laptop. Try running the U46mkII with external power using the power port on the back if all else fails. This should properly ground the sound card if the laptop is unable to do this.

It work like it should with my internal sound card (glitches under 512)
But with U46, i got glitches from 2048 to 64 (using both asio4all and ESI latest Driver)
I tried with a USB hub, it's a lot better, but i just heard usual latency glitches. (at 512 ! )

My computer is a lot better than the older, so i think there's still a problem here.

Anyway, thanks a lot, it's quite better :) (i just don't understand why i eard a huge BUZZZZZZZ when i plug a 10V 500mA adapter  )

Sounds as if the notebook you bought is stronger on the paper but unfortunately there is maybe a lot of cheap hardware (mainboard, all kind of controllers) included so that it is not as much stronger as your old computer :-( I am really sad while reading this!!!! I wish I could help...

Steve

Hey Bigi

this maybe a stupid question but does this only occur when the laptop is plugged into mains power?
