Reading your posts again, you have to make sure 3 things are correct:
1-Your headphones are plugged into the correct output of your soundcard (3/4 or 5/6).
2-ASIO sound drivers are correctly sending the 'monitor(headphones)' audio to the correct channels/output of your SC (3/4 or 5/6).
3-Mixvibes 'preferences' are sending the 'monitor' audio to the correct channels/output(realtech audio 3/4 or 5/6). Your 'house' mix is probably using 1/2 channels.
<i put these 2 channel options in as im not sure which pair will work(3/4 or 5/6)>.
hope this info helps ;)
cheers

I am having issues as well trying to get this feature to work. I have ASIO4ALL installed on my laptop. Do i need to configure it? I dont see any sort of icon for this app once installed. I am using a Dell Inspiron 6400 with SigmaTel Audio.

Thanks for the welcome. I am currently using Cross - Discover DJ 1.3.2. I'm just using the default motherboard sound. It's a Sigmatel Audio. I read up on the ASIO4ALL tutorial. When I set my routing mode to external mixer, the fader wasn't working anymore. I could not listen to Side B anymore.

  you might have two issues kinda mixed up .the sound card is what set up the monitoring aspect of the Cross program, to use it ,you should have a muliti channel sound card,no info given if that critiea is met,not shure of the proper routing(?? why set it in mixer mode,is the CONTROLLER seen as a mixer or just a external control)dont have acces to the controler dont know what instruction given for set up,,,
