Mac OS X issue

Postby J031 on 04 Jan 2010, 04:09

So I just tried to install Cross 1.2.9 from the CD that came with my Discover DJ product but all I get is a blank white screen. I then downloaded 1.3.2 and the exact same thing happens.

Install on my Mac (10.5.7) went perfectly smooth, but after the app is launched, all that I see is a white screen with yet another white box in the middle (I'm assuming it's a prompt window of some sort) but I see nothing but white. Even when I go to quit, another blank white "prompt" box pops up. Again, can't see a thing. So I have to force quit. Have uninstalled and clean reinstalled several times.

any help??

Thanks

Joel

Edit: When I actually connect the DJ unit to the computer while the whited out program is running the whole application crashes. Is this a known issue? I see similar problems in other threads, but I thought Leopard would be fine. Especially with the new update.

Also, assuming this doesn't work on my Mac (for now at least) can I install in on my PC and then use it also on my Mac later (maybe after another update?) or am I locked into one machine??

is another update scheduled soon that fixes such problems?

Thanks all again.

Yes. I am the only user on the machine. Admin and all that. Below is the crash report. Maybe it will help? I PM'd it to N-Deep as well.

[Edit]
The crash report has been saved and is being analyzed.

It seems that Cross launch itself but some components seems to be broken when loaded.

I didn't noticed at first but you're running 10.5.7 and this version is well known for audio issues.
In fact thousands of users with audio application was complaining that this release simply break their working environnement.
Most of them went back to 10.5.6

You can read this all over google with : 10.5.7 audio issue.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into a different OS version and see what happens.

It is related to something unknown on your computer.
Do you have any sound enhancer or audio hijack software on this computer ?
