I think I finally found out why the confusion! After I reinstalled everything and got the same results, I browsed around the web site and just for curiosity I took a look at the Manual in French, and voila! All the screens match identical to what I get in the purchased version. So just a heads-up: The manuals on the DVS Pro Retail package, and the web download, and listed on the web site for English (and Dutch) are for Producer Version 6 and only the one in French seem to be for Producer Version 7.
I wish I spoke French, and I would like to learn it as it is a beautiful language, and most likely there must be some helpful material out there on the web to translate it, but my main interest is to be able to produce sequences, and be able to manipulate or fine-tune the resulting sequences. And I don’t want to sound too dumb, but I still have not figured out how use the sequencer.
Found an option to export the Playlist into an *.lst file which seem to be a sequence file, basically containing text enumerating Name event, Media, Start & Duration, but I am not sure what options (besides “Play”) are available for these *.lst files and if we are supposed to manually modify the start and duration in this file, etc...
In addition to that, I do not know what to do with that *.lst file, as I can not find the sequencer to open it, or if I try to import the file, the system doesn’t list it as an importable file, so I am sorry to say that I can not figure it out.
Is there anyone with experience creating sequences in Producer Version 7.x? I will really appreciate any help!
