Serial number already in use

Hi! A friend of mine gave me his DJ set and Mixvibes DVS PACK MK2 because he wasn't using it any more.
So I signed up to this site, but it won't let me use the same serial number even though he says he's cancelled his account. This means I can't get the udgrades for the program... What can i do?

Send a PM to user N-deep with your serial and your friend's old account name. If possible, see if your friend can provide you with purchase information that you could also send, for confirmation purposes.
