Hello, I recently purchased Mix Vibes from Guitar Center USA. I was generally happy with the software package until I got to a gig and it asked me to enter my serial number (Even though I already had... TWICE). Of course, I didn't have the software with the key on me and had to cancel. When I got home I figured I would see if there was any updates to maybe fix this problem, but when I try to enter my serial number into my forum profile, it tells me it is invalid (I have re entered it CORRECTLY many times to no avail. Also when playing two songs at once and scrolling through the playlist, the sound often "Cuts Out" for split seconds. Very unprofessional. I am running an AMD 2.4 Ghz with 2gb of ram and windows XP. PLEASE HELP ME! I click on support on the website and it says you can't even email or call support. I must admit I am considering taking this software package back to GC for a refund...
Please Help!

Hi Ryan, Welcome to the forums! Since you got it from GC I'm guessing it was Cross? Either way, send a PM with your serial number to the user N-deep and he'll get you sorted out with that. As far as the sound dropouts go, here's a thread about optimizing XP for DJ use. viewtopic.php?f=207&t=11532I've had issues with that before, but what I typically do for gigs is disable internet, set the computer to high performance, and close out of all my other programs and it works pretty well. Last thing, what latency were you using when the problems occurred? Peace, Phaded

Tried ASIO and the stock drivers as well as the driver upgrade available on the website with no luck. I did everything in that thread you liked me and still no luck. Skipping very bad still especially when I try to scroll through my library...

Just an update, went to best buy and bought a BRAND NEW laptop, intel core duo, 4 gb ram and mixvibes STILL skips on tracks. EXTREMELY disappointed in this software. Especially the tech support. Will be returning my mixvibes copy tomorrow and getting traktor or something. So disappointing as I loved the software but no tech support and little community helo has forced me to look elsewhere. It is a shame that Pioneer has teamed up with such a shabby company that doesn't even offer paying customers 9-5 tech support......
Cheers!

FINALLY figured it out. Fixed the skipping sound issue but I still can not register my serial number to my forum account and mixvibes Cross keeps asking me for my serial even though I have already input it (5 Times!) I guess I'll just have to take the install cd with me to gigs... Still impressed with the software but not tech support. Took me 3 days to figure this out with no help at all from MixVibes tech support (Do they even exist?!)

hi housejunkie,
welcome to the forums,
i was the first to report that Cross was reasking for serial ramdomly,
user unclevibes told me that thay have not "seen" this before, but now we are more than three users with same issue, so this is a BUG
do as Gakto told me :::
try doing a full uninstall from windows, Control Panel, Add Remove Programs.
then delete this hidden folder in your system...
Documents and Settings\session_name\Application Data\MixVibes\Cross\
then reinstall.
let us know how you get on,
DJ persio.

Ok I tried what you suggested and it still is asking me for my key periodically. I also am STILL unable to enter my key to associate it with my internet account, and STILL haven't herd back from anyone at mixvibes after five days.....
