help with odd sounds

Postby justinryan on 27 Aug 2009, 14:28

I've had alot of trouble with mixvibes recently using it on another computer. Before I left on holidays two weeks ago, half the times i ran the install wizard, it said there was a problem with the asio driver. There was also a problem with the second channel, as in the sound being extremely loud and distorted for every track I tried to play.
Ive just got back from holidays, and have run mixvibes. This time things seem to be working better. The problem I have now is that when i take the needle off either track, there is a 'wobbeling'/ hissing sound. When the Cross faders are down for either channel you can't hear it. When you change track, it stops until i take the needle off either channel again. Another strange thing is that for some reason, channel two "right turntable" has to be on 45 rpm. For the last year I've used mixvibes its always been 33 rpm.

Any advice on how to fix these problems would be greatly appreciated,
Justin

Hi,

Your config report seems ok to me. It may be a driver issue. What driver version did you install?

Thanks. Can you try the asio4all driver? Check www.asio4all.com.
