Hi, I'm currenlty a ESI U46SE user, I work with Diy DVS systems, right now working with Virtual DJ + Serato V2 TCCV. Already ordered my timecode vinyls for Mixvibes Cross (didnt arrived yet, probably next week), to try the demo, and probably stick with it (from what I've seen so far in youtube promos).
My soundcard is ok, but for life performances (you get kind worried, and scared), sometimes you get a glitche, some strange sounds etc, so I want to change for something better.
* * I supose this is not that diferent from U46 MK2 (wish has preAmps), or Maya 44 (Wish, I'm using just as example, and since its popular, just to comparition propouses).
My first choice would be Native Instruments Audio 4 DJ, but since I'm also into music production, I want something not so specific for deejaying: Like Edirol FA 101, M-Audio Fast Track Ultra - Wish both have lots of analogic inputs and outputs and can also be used diferently then deejaying.
I would love to have a soundcard, that would let me Live Deejay, with nice sound and latency (two turntables + mixer), but in other times, produce music (record instruments, vocals maybe). So, Audio4Dj, is not for me - Yeah, I know I could use an external mixer or preAmps, to the line in.
I found the following soundcard, FOCUSRITE SAFFIRE LE Firewire, but I dont know if I'll notice any diference between this and U46SE (or Maya 44, wish I guess has the same quality as mine U46se, so I'm using it as an example, since its popular).
* * As a DJ, I'm more into Hip-Hop, battle, Scratch by the way.
My question is, will I notice any diference between FOCUSRITE SAFFIE LE firewire VS current ESI U46SE (please, compare it with Maya44 if you dont know this card, or U46MK2) ?
Any help will be appreciated, thanks for your atention and have a nice day ;D

First of all you should insert your serial into your profile to get support.

Hi, thanks for replying back.
I'm sorry but I supose you didn't gave me the oportunity to explain myself, but resuming, I've commented that I ordered 2 x Mixvibes timecode to test the software. I didnt purchased the software, or even tested it yet. But, since It's obvious that I'm interested (by buying the vinyls, joining the community, etc), I've left a question about Digital vinyl system, about hardware.
If you don't feel I'm welcome here, let me tell you, that it's your own problem, no one was rude here at any given time. You didnt even cared about reading my post.
Thanks for your time

Hi Heldri, Everybody is welcome here, don't worry I cannot answer to your question straight since I've never used the soundcard you are talking about but I can tell you that I am very happy from my UK46, as much for live than producing. If you then want the very best, the RME RPM seems to be the best interface around, if you have the money, you should get that Greets, Grüner

Thanks Olso,
do you think that my actual U46SE, is the same as the MK2 (probably with diferences being in the PreAmp-Phonos) ? They do look the identical.
* *I'm really embarassed actually, I dont think it's nice to treat newcomers in that way, if this forum wasn't opened towards new users and visitors, in the registration process it should had been mentioned.
* * Another thing, if you visit recent promos of Mixvibes Cross in youtube, you'll find dated comments of me, asking about it, and then in the same date range you'll trace me here. In that message, I've cleary stated, that I'm a Hip-Hop DJ, Turntablist, wish means, I only purchase software that I know about, and test it. If this needs a specifc gadget to play (in this case, the Mixvibes vinyls, as you probably dont know, I need to purchase it. It's not available in stock worldwide, so, you order it online, ordering it online takes time, capich ?). If you didnt noticed, on that, my first message, where I've stated I was waiting for the vinyls to test, there's been a week or so. I came here today - You dont need to be an expert in math - but its obvious that the vinyls had arrived and I'm ready to test this thing out, and worried to leave a comment on that same post, where I've asked about hardware issues, to the community and not Mixvibes team. But no, you simply ignored the first 5 lines and assumed. Bad publicity for Mixvibes community let me tell you that! Not saying the same about Oslo.
Have a nice day

It's a forum rule that there is no support without the serial in your profile. I did not make this rules! So please do not call my post rude!
EDIT: Thanks for reducing my karma!!!

Hi, everything cool ? If you review the rules, there's no reference for license. Also, this message was posted in DJ Community (Hw, Gear, etc): viewtopic.php?f=262&t=10078But let me be helpful, I don't want to reduce yourself, but there we can read: The rules are pretty simple : 1. No offensive material off any kind. Be courteous and helpful 2. No PMs to moderators for support. You can make a new post and then PM the link to a mod though. (some specific problems need to be posted by PM not general support)Who violated the rules here ? Well: From my prespective, you violated the first rule, you haven't been courteous at all, or helpful, in any mather! Let's keep things cool, what mathers is the software and not your karma (that famous one).

As you post also in the suggestion forum, I answer to the reason of the worst welcome message here: viewtopic.php?f=279&t=14385&p=82216#p82216About your U46SE ESI sound card, the difference with the U46MK2 is made by the Riaa preamp. You can use this sound card with DVS or Cross without any problems but the bypass mode (real vinyl reading) isn't as good as with Riaa preamp. That's all! Another thing, if you visit recent promos of Mixvibes Cross in youtube, you'll find dated comments of me, asking about it, and then in the same date range you'll trace me here. In that message, I've cleary stated, that I'm a Hip-Hop DJ, Turntablist, wish means, I only purchase software that I know about, and test it.
It's easy to understand these facts. We don't trace all comments day after day on all forums or blogs. We don't have time to read everythings. I use demo myself before buying a software. For DVS users a demo is useful only if the DVS function can be tested. I don't think you can test Serato or Traktor with vinyl. Now when you get the lp's have fun during your demo & welcome here. About the FOCUSRITE SAFFIRE LE, I didn't find your reference Saffire limited edition... Mixvibes work with all sound cards & best results are with Asio. I guess this sound card is able to do the job with 6 in & 8 out. It's very useful to have 6 inputs... (3 stereo inputs)

Hi, thanks for taking your time and answering me back, I trully appreciate it! It's interesting to know, that Mixvibes Cross can go "Bypass", that's a feature I would love to use. My personal experience with Mixvibes by now is 30m, with some *hash / White noise * every few minutes: I didnt knew I could only use one Turntable, but that's ok, I've tested in Relative and Absolute modes, while scratching. I do get "Sticker Position Lag" on Relative Mode, wish is fair enough and it's usually the same in most DVS. Absolute mode, worked really good, I did noticed some diferences on sound quality, compared with VDJ, I didnt get any *glitches or *digital crackles, but I'm not completely sure of it because I only used one deck: Same soundcard on previous experiences. Tomorrow I'll test the Bypass feature you've mentioned. I'll hook up a PhonoAmp from Behringer Beat800, to solve the Riaa Amp issue. About Serato and Tracktor, like I said, I'm interested in D.I.Y DVS, because I need to use a more robust and multitasked SoundCard, not so Specific to Deejaying. I would not, and wont ever, buy something, that I can't ride before, that makes no sense! Mixvibes Cross, VDJ, Deckadance, DjDecks, etc, are towards my type of user group. In any way, I would never, use that analogie, like you did, comparing client testings on DVS like Traktor (wish needs hardware to test with Timecode), to get myself clear! Like you well said, DVS users demo, is only usefull if DVS can be tested - This would be enough said. While "I don't think you can test Serato or Traktor with vinyl", is kind a sarcastic, towards someone whos actually practicing your first argument. It seems that Mixvibes is, somehow, affected with Cracking community, with untrusth actions on possible new clients - You should contact your Marketing Deparment about this behaviors. People interested in your Software must be Trust worthy, before considering *Cracking Communities* (whom probably are not professional DJs at all). I've left a sugestion about creating a *Registered Members area only* viewtopic.php?f=279&t=14385&p=82216#p82216For the price and videos I've been watching on youtube (and a lean experienced 30m Mixvibes Cross), I'm still considering this purchase. Questioning the community about Soundcard experiencing, is a case of doing the best budget with Software Pricing + Soundcard Hardware: Something that must be considered, before considering buying a single license, or a package of any Company. Keeping the current soundcard, will lead me to buy Mixvibes License in a short period (that's why of comparision needs with U46MK2 and U46SE). Getting a new soundcard like Motu, etc plus Software, can really pass current top notch DJ Solutions on the market (Since I need a multitask soundcard, it's diferent). This is a practicale example of client thinking. I hope I got myself clear. With enough respect and interest, Take care!
