I'm having problems lately with my software. I have the latest -7.21, version and I just don't dare going anywhere to mix, cause I just can't trust it.
Usually I had no problems with it running for 3 hours or something, but lately it crashed two times, while i was doing two live shows over the internet (through edcast streaming program).
On the first crash i had U46MKII's latest drivers installed and it crashed by making (buzzing?) a loud noise. I don't know how to describe it, but you all know what it sounds like, if you heard it. On the next show I had ASIO4ALL drivers and Mixvibes just closed after about two hours in the show. I had to quickly reopen it and go on, but you all know that just must never happen.
Now I am trying to figure out the problem with this. Is it possible that some time in the mix I encountered a VBR coded mp3 and was perhaps that the reason for crashing?
I also think I never had trouble running it for 3 hours straight if I had to, doing mixes just for me, but perhaps there's a problem with that I'm doing a live stream through edcast and have Firefox open on some site that I need while mixing?
I know these descriptions are too vague, but I need Mixvibes to be stable and this should never happen.
Could it be a VBR mp3?
