Crackling noises when playing songs! PLZ HELP!!!

Hello,

Every time when I play my music, I hear crackling and distorted noise from my speakers. I've tried uninstalling everything like Mixvibes, the soundcard software etc. I've also got everything updated and still after a few hundred uninstalls the problem stays. T_T

I'm using an Eee PC 1000H with 2 GiBb of memory, 250 GiB hardrive, and an Intel Atom processor, and mixvibes 7.2 DVS PRO.
Specs: Windows XP Service Pack 3, and a U64MKII usb soundcard.


I've put in a configuration report. I hope to hear from anyone ASAP, as I have a party at 28th of august!

Can you try to set the buffer size to 256 or 512 samples?

I already have it running at 512, and 256 doesnt help either......
Btw for anyone who want's to know, I have my laptop running at super performence mode.

Weird...What driver version did you try?

I don't know if it helps at your U64MKII, but i had the similair problem with my maya 44 MKII.

Set your system performance at the preferences of your soundcard to normal and not to high speed or higher and also the application priority to normal.
