Please help, asio4all/VAC

Postby Aaron on 25 Jun 2009, 11:55

my plan is to use asio4all/VAC to send seperate outputs from all 16 decks to Live(till rewire is implemented), the problem i have run into is i can't output to my soundcard, the sound goes out to Live but not from Live to my ears, i tried using audio repeater between a vac line and my asio sound card but didnt work :(
Please help me my brothers(you cuircut bending, curcumventing freaks) much love and respect ;)

in theory this is simple... but it never turns out that way.. lolol

using 32 vac out puts and 32 inputs for mixvibes to live, what method are you using to route the output to your soundcard?

L/R mono to the soundcards driver or using asio4ALL?

i was trying to use audio repeater, asio4all shows up in Live as a rewire(im only using the demo till i nut it out), i can't output to the soundcard thats the issue, i need it all to be asio because scratching is wierd with a 30 or more millisecond delay, i want to be able to scratch, and sample live, while using vst synth, and drums, with fx(one man band kind of deal), and master it all later, Mixvibes is the only software that lets me scratch 16 samples on the fly(i created somthing in Reaktor that changes the focus of the deck when i touch a fader)its like not having to back spin to reach 16 sounds)) the smart mixing thing with Jack looks cool, but when i downloaded it, it seemed way to hard, if i could afford to get 2 32 in 32 out soundcards with different drivers i would be sweet.
so how do get sound out of my asio card when using asio4all wrapped VAC to run from VIBES to Live???
P.s love you guys

the best way is to route,
Mixvibes--VAC--Live__ASIA4ALL__Soundcard.

the latest version of ASIO4ALL will run more than one soundcard but im sure it wont run virtual as well as an audio device...

have a look in the asio4all cp and see where your usdio device is connected, it may be a case of the output in live being set wrong.

when using live you see the vu active for inputs, yes? do you see the same for master out 1/2, but no audio?

smart mixing would be that way to go in your case and its not as hard as it looks so dont let it put you off.

regards,
Bryan
