maybe the first time you plugged the maya in did you get any warning that the device could perform faster?
if it works fine on your desktop, but gives you bad results over two different OEM's on the same laptop then i recon it's down to a hardware issue/conflict or maybe just not enough bandwidth on the usb port to run at a low latency.
check on the supprt website of your latop that it doesnt require drivers for USB 2 support.
let us know how you get on..

Thx for your answer.
In fact the soundcard works perfectly on my Business Laptop et on My computer, it is only on my personal laptop that i got some slight crackly sound.
My laptop is recent so i can take USB 2.0 and i did not have a message to say that this device can run faster.
I took the latest Maya 44 driver from the download section, it seems to improve a bit the situation but still a slight crackly sound.
I could indeed use the Asio4ALL but i am a bit afraid not to be able to manager to control Panel but still this is to try

The only issue is that the installation auto install the Asiodriver for the card.
Laptop : Compal HEL80, CPU Dual core 2.00 Ghtz, 2 go of memory.
If anyone got other ideas, it is always welcome
