your hardware setting? 2decks and external mixer? are you able to hear the sound of the timecode if you monitor the input trough the suond card?
[stupid question #1] have checked if there's some dust on the needle? [stupid question #2] is the vinyl clean? last week I had less than 70%, i washed the vinyl with some warm water and neutral soap and came back to 99%.

Hello,
The latency is far too low man. Btw how did you connect the turntables? Can you post a screenshot of the vinyl option window?

yes, 2 decks & ext mixer, and yes again, I'm able to hear the timecode. Although once timecode is playing and I pick up the needle, it keeps on playing. Don't think this is normal either. [answer stupid question #1] yes I did, and just to be sure, I did it again... [answer stupid question #2] I just bought the U46MKII pack, everything's brand new. Just in case, I cleaned them anyway. Result: first deck quality= 1%

I'm not able to post a screenshot cuz I work with xp. Are there different possibilities to connect them? I connected the cinch from turntable 1 to input 1/2, 2nd one to 3/4 I think my problem has something to do with the latency stuff. Is it normal I had to look on the internet for the ASIO-thing? ASIO4ALL is installed. When mixvibes demands what soundcard I want to use in ASIO mode, I can choose either ASIO4ALL or U46DJASIO, but if I pick the second one, mixvibes doesn't receive any signal at all. BTW, instead of a screenshot, I can just write down the diff settings, would that be somekind of help?

You can screenshot with XP. Try to look how to on Google. Are there different possibilities to connect them? I connected the cinch from turntable 1 to input 1/2, 2nd one to 3/4
Good. I think my problem has something to do with the latency stuff. Is it normal I had to look on the internet for the ASIO-thing? ASIO4ALL is installed. That means that there are 2 driver installed. Uninstalled the U46DJASIO driver. BTW, instead of a screenshot, I can just write down the diff settings, would that be somekind of help?
A screenshot will be more usefull.

No, it isn't normal at all this happen with MV open or closed? this appen also with a normal music vinyl? because with a normal vinyl you can discover if the audio continue to be heard because of some internal looping...and you should be able to recognize a loop from a normal vinyl but may be not from a timecode vinyl. unfortunately I do not have the U46, but you can try by posting here the settings of the card itself, the ones you can call out from the settings window of MV. May be some strange routing issue. I think with the original driver should work, may be with not the same performace the Asio4all can give but should work. [stupid question #3] the switch on the front of the u46 is correctly set to phono, right? [very stupid question #4] sure about the right cabling of the little coloured wires behind the needle? little OT: why can't you made a screenshot with win XP? press stamp on the keyboard, open an image editor, even ms paint it's ok, and paste, and voilà, your screenshot is served

thx for the info about the screenshots. Also I searched a bit more on the forum and carefully red the post on U46MKII & ASIO. This was a great help, I didn't check the box for offline settings when I installed it... Now that's 1 thing I've corrected, so I ran the install wizard once again... Quality now= 98-99% uhu-uhum, I'm sorry for the wasting your time since the answer was already posted. But I've learnt something else, so it wasn't a total waste of time! GrTz
