Video mixing again

Postby defjam01 on 07 Jun 2009, 00:59

Hi,

i already opened a thread like this kinda two years ago but because the software did a huge step i wanted to open a new with some new questions about the actual Producer version and video mixing.

Currently i dont have a lot of time, but i will have soon when i complete my studies and my final exam :D Until then i try in some minutes to improve my skills with mv.

But i noticed that the video-engine of mv doesnt support .mkv-formats :( -> i use actual version of mv-producer and different mkv-files (h.264). i also can play them without any problems and have all the codecs i need. MV just doesnt load them.
Will this be fixed/supported or is there no work in this way?

Another thing: I know that i need a midi-mixer to mix the audio+video together while doing video-djing right? BUT i dont want to buy a Vestax or sth like that. I want to do it with my equipment(vinyl+mixer). At least to buy a little midi-fader just for the video. Can u tell me which one is easy to use/install/compatible with mv-producer?

I also know that there are some mixers out there that do support the mixing of audio and video together (like the one from rane for 1500 Euro...). Is there a cheaper alternative that also works with mixvibes video-and-audio-mixing? (i mean just a mixer not the Vestax controller).

greetings

if you want to test the BCD 3000 of behringer is a MIDI controler cheap option have integrated soundcard, etc....
if you want somethingmore complete there is a profesional mixer of behringer too called DDM4000, the last one of behringer is a black one...

Both of them are MIDI controlers.
