I MIX DJ TECH CONTROLLER PROBLEM! PLEASE HELP!

Postby bradthaproducer/dj on 04 Apr 2009, 06:57

I have a imix DJ tech mixvibes 3DEX LE Image

And i can install mixvibes properly but i cant open up the program because it says "imix not connected" when i do have it connected.

I have used the DJ mixer on my computer since i bought it, i have had it conncted to the usb the hole time. but one time when i disconnected it then reconnected it it wont regonise the MIDI controller.

Normally when i press buttons on th e MIDI the green light flashes when it uses power but now it dosnt. It stays green. I tried on my other computer and windows still didnt regonise it. Do u have to have drivers for it? because it comes up no drivers installed and unknown device.

Everything is plugged in right. I have uninstalled many times and it still wont work for me. The computer just dosnt want to regonise it.
(remember i have been using it untill i disconnected from the usb port on time then when i wanted to use it again and thats when the problem started.

If anyone can help it would be apprecitaed

please update your program to latest version here downloads.php?cat=1
if you reinstall it from original cd.

Maybe you have an hardware problem with the usb of your controller. If you have any doubt contact your local dealer for support.

Iv downloaded the update and it still wont let me open the program because the messege "Imix is not connected"

iv only owned this for less then a month.

Iv got windows vista. i dont know anything about service packs.

All i know is that my imix controller was working perfectly before i disconnected it from the usb then plugged it back in.

Is it normal for it to be called unknown device with no drivers?

hi Bradthaproducer/ DJ ...Welcome to the mixvibes community
good to see another mixvibes user from OZ's.!!!

when you unplug the I-mix and then pluged back in did you use the same USB port
check to see if Windows see's your I-mix in the Device manager
GO...Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > and click on Device manager

in the Device Expand list ....GO "Sound ,video & game controller" to confirm if windows see your I-mix as a USB Audio device or a USB I-mix controllers in the list

ok wazza i check out the device list and it is under the name "unknown device" in Universial bus controllers.
Instead of were it sould be, in sound video and game controllers.

Iv tried uninstalling it then plugging it back in but it still regonises it as unknown device. I also tried updating and that didnt work.

i have tried a different USB cable and that didnt work.

Please Got any ideas of what i can do???? Anyone!

I Need to fix this problem!

I am afraid it's not a software problem but an hardware one. See with your dealer, try it in his shop.

try booting vista in safe mode, after its finnished booting restart again in normal mode... (keep all your usb devices unplugged)

the problem is no doubt with the usb root hub, usb pen drives, digital camers and so on got messed up and wouldnt work after the computer was woken from sleep mode in early versions of vista.

to find what service pack you have, go to the start menu, right click my computer and select properties...

you computer details will be shown.

booting in safe mode forces a fresh update of drivers when the computer boots again normally, if this doesnt work you will need to force install the hub drivers drivers..

give us a shout and let us know how you get on, if you need help with a forced install i'll help you.

regards,
Bryan

ok i tried rebooting my vista but it did no effect.
I got service pack vista 1 (its a farley new computer too.)

mmm It cant be a hardware faliure because it WAS working perfectly. So im sure its not the hardware.
I bought this from a cheapo type store called WOW (a mega shop what sells everything electronic) they dont know anything about this product.

Bryan (gakto2009) can u tell me about how to force install the hub drivers?

I am suspicious of that because you wrote you tried on another computer.
I tried on my other computer and windows still didnt regonise it.
Whatever the kind of shop where you bought it, you must have a warranty from the importer of the product.
