The extra ram is not essential; after all you are never going to load over 300 mb’s of music in mixvibes at any one time... unless you’re mad ;)

Your system seems an ok spec, does it have a firewire connection, firewire offers more bandwidth for an audio device that supports firewire connections... if you don’t then maybe you have a slot for a PCMCIA/PCI Express adaptor card.

Many options to choose from.

Well from what Bryan's been saying, SP3 has so many problems that Windows offers an uninstaller for it. SP2 is much better ;)
