Mixvibes 7 & Vestax VCI-100.....not working...help!!!

Postby gilbertoo on 13 Mar 2009, 14:10

I've just upgraded from Mixvibes 3dex to Mixvibes 7 and my Vestax VCI-100 now won't work......however, it does partially work if I select the VCM-100 MIDI file....???

Please can you explain how I can get the VCI-100 to work with MV7? I'm guessing I need to update the MIDI drivers....if so, how can I do this? Where is this information stored?

Thanks in advance!

hi,

you can download the MIDI Files in the download center, but you need first to register your serial number in your profile. :)

Be careful! There is 2 different MIDI files for the vci-100: one for the firmware 1.1 (old) and the other for the firmware 1.2 (new). Choose the good one depending on your VCI-100 firmware.
Read that:
viewtopic.php?f=266&t=10132
I also advise you to download the 7.21 RC2 in the release candidate area: if you install this version you will have automatically the VCI-100 MIDI file (for the FW 1.2).

Go into your MixVibes folder and place them in the MIDI folder.

Then update your soft to version RC 7.21

Thanks. I'll add my serial number (for Mixvibes or for the VCI-100?) once I've rebuilt my laptop (this weekend!).

Just your Mixvibes serial... It's enough.
Sorry if you may feel rude my previous post but we need this info!

I've done something really stupid!

I have reformatted my music PC without checking if I made a note of the serial numbers. I have two versions of Mixvibes, one on CD and one was sent by email - Mixvibes 3dEX and Mixvibes 7. Please can you resend the Mixvibes 7 email so I can reinstall and confirm the serial code? (I'm guessing using 3dEX isn't recommended now?). I'll PM you my email address.

Thanks in advance.
