Mixer help wanted

Postby smaks on 03 Feb 2009, 23:16

In adition of making the upgrade to the Producer package i need your proffesional opinions to fix my budget,

I'm in need of a new mixer also and am looking for the best setup to get maximum use of the Producer upgrade,

For the sampler it's obvious that i m gonna need a nano serie's pad or an akai,

In adition i will need a mixer but i wonder i should invest 450eur in a djm 400 or a behtinger DDM 4000 or just go for the Vestax VCI (500eur :( ) and use the MV effects,

I'm trying to keep my budget as low as possible and still have a good sound quality which is really important to my musical ears :)

Are there other possibilities that allow me to use the sampler and effects and miw my music offcourse ?

Thx for your answers in advance

ok, then i would suggest you buying either a 3 channel mixer or a 2 channel mixer with session input, so you can use your mv pro´s sampler with it...the advantage of choosing the djm400 would be that you can use post fader efx like reverb and delay/echo.

as for a 3 channel mixer, i like this one very much:

The AEM-100i works pretty well since it has phono/line/aux inputs for both channels.

if you´re on a budget, this one is a 2 channel mixer but also has a 3rd line input...DJ nb likes it very much

Yes man I can tell you that I had many problems with the choices I had coz I had limited budget too. And I must say that Nuo 2.0 is mixer that will satisfy all your requirements. As mello d said I enjoy it coz it is really cool and strong. you can go for it and also other thing that I could suggest is Numark's x6 that already has effects on it so you can combine with MV's efx.

the cool thing is you can easily sell it, (it's ecler ;) ) compare to a Numark or a gemini mixer
