Back to your original question, regarding your set up, I'd advise you installing another partition on your HD with windows XP SP2 and only Mixvibes. you can then follow a tutorial to stip down windows to its minimum functions. This will ensure you get the best performances 
. Don't get me wrong MixVibes will work fine with Vista Ultimate, but you might gain a few preciosu ms by using this technique !
