This is not a Mixvibes problem, its a windows problem... must be vista yours using, and an early one at that, this problem was ment to be fixed in vista RC2.
what version of windows vista are you using, have you been keeping on to of the windows updates?
i'll see if i can find the link to the hotfix for the issue again, been a long time from i needed it.
or you could just turn the windows sounds off, lol.

lol, oh yeah I remember this problem. This is indeed a Windows issue.
What you need to do is create a wave file that is silent (no sound period). After that, you go to the sounds options, click on default beep, and assign that silent.wav file to the default beep.

This issue was with the MFC CListCtrl class, any software that didn’t use a custom control list resulted in the default beep sounding during the use of list control to display icons with labels, as in the Windows Explorer, or columnar lists of text, with or without icons. There was a hotfix released as a quick fix to the problem which accessed the device driver level using “waveOutSetVolume(NULL, 0x00000000)” to reduce the volume of that particular sound event... This hot fix was for those using the early RC versions of vista for testing and developing, this issue caused minor but majorly annoying problems for those using VS.NET... People who made the leap to vista very early were sorted out via the Windows Update System... So im intrigued to know why you still have this problem with your vista install...

Reporting problems is the best way to get the problems solved. That's not words. (At 50 years old dont need them)
Tss, you are young at fifty, you can still drive a car or use a MIDI controller.

JUST THE STATEMENT I WANTED TO HEAR<have posted all over the fourm ,couple of times trying to direct this issue at you, even tryed to send p m to you ,have you tried to mix with just your computer and any second card, didnt work well in home ver 6,similiar results with the 7.2 update, 50's not to old to learn,so i know you can try to feel my frustation. try it,a simple blending of music while using the monitoring aspect of mixvibes, like i posted elsewhere i sold my meager equiptment 25 years ago, thanks for the help will download the 7.1 up date and play around with that.
