No recording with microphone.

Hi golle.
I do not turn on phantom power when using the SM57. Since I hear my self in the monitors I am sure that both the cables and mic are ok. They are in addition brand new..

My DAW is correctly set up. I think I am giving up on this card, I'll just get a new one..I pray that it doesn't give me too much of a hassle

Have you tried changing the windows default recording unput?

you can change these properties in the windows audio settings, if your using an audio editor like soundforge it will record from the default input set by windows.

What version of windows are you using, i'll help you out if you need it.
