MIDI driver 2 - hercules DJ console MIDI not found

anyone had the above message?
im pressuming this is why i cant get the DJ console to connect. iv tried reinstalling. but no joy any1 no how to fix?

I had a lot of trouble getting the rmx to work. Kept getting driver not found or config problems messages. It seems strange but I eventually figured out that if I would close MV, then go to the unzipped MV folder---NOT the installed MV folder in Program files--but the one where I unzipped it. OK go to that folder-"unzipped MV"(it won't say unzipped, I'm just trying to be specific)-and go to the MIDI folder, the go to the ini file for your device and just open it (make sure there's some info in there) and then close it. Then open MV and it would work. I had to do it every time before using MV for a while and then it started working like it should. This may not work for you but it sounds like something similar may help.

make sure you always use the same USB port when you plug your RMX.

thankyou for the help chaps, but im still having no joy, its really frustrating the because looks great aswell, ite have to look in to other options... dont really want to go down the virtual DJ program route..

hi jonno, which version of mixvibes are you using. you might want to update to the latest version. follow the instructions in the above 'rules' at the top of this page.

when does this error message occur ?

im only running the demo at the minute to test mixesvibes home 7 before i purchase it, i need it to work with DJ console if i was to purchase thou otherwise there is no point.. i cant see me gettin it running to be honest,
does it have vista issues?

when does th message occur ? when you boot up the software ?

does windows detect the DJ console correctly when you plug it in ?

yes when i first boot up the software, or when i go into the option and tick the activate button once i select the DJ console...
no lights come on or anything..

i know its installed correct because it works with virtual DJ and an old mixesvibes version. so im stumped now..

Just guessing here, but it sounds like it might be connected to a different usb port than when installed. It makes a difference. I had the same problem

Did you choose '1' for the MIDI channel in the DJ console control panel?
