[solved] PRO 7.1 DLL Files missing

Hi Team
I have a big problem. I downloaded MV 7.1 today and installed it. (I was able to run all beta up to 7.04) but now, there are tons of error messages that ogg.dll, vorbis.dll and vorbisfile.dll are missing. I downloaded those dlls from the internet, but it says that my vorbis.dll is missing something... can you help me get my MV running again? I have a set next week and i love to do it with the latest mixvibes version. Thanks and have a nice weekend. Beat

Did you install the MV7 Update to the same directory where the old version was located ? Or did you uninstall the old one first ?

Personally i did it this way (with no MV on the machine):
Installed the version from my installation CD, downloaded the latest MV7 update -> installed this one, all good. MV7 wrote itself to a new directory

well I installed it over the Pro 7.04. The "old" 7.04 worked without any problems at all. only the update to 7.1 made troubles. But i could retry to installt MV 6 from the cd again and update then... maby that helps.

The error says the the Procedure "vorbis_Windows" is missing in the dll File. I did a search on that problem on google and it seem rather well known bow nobody had an answer on it... I did a install of the MV6 pro from my cd. It all went well and i can open MV6 without any problem. I just was not able to open MV Producer

Please make sure to install the MV7 update to a different folder then, it should do this by default but pls double check for it.

Well I did a complete re-install of all the software. I deleted 6.411 and 7.043. Then I installed Pro 6 from the original CD's. It worked perfect. I then installed the 7.1 Files. The installation Process was as it should be. (I installed it from my Drive D: to a complete new direcotry on the Drive C:). Nada. Still there is the error message about that Routine that could not be found in the DLL. 7.043 worked perfectly, i don't understand why it suddenly stops wokring. And the problem is, i don't have 7.043 Files anymore, i have overwritten them with the new ones Hope the new 7.115 that i was in beta will help when it is out soon... Nobody ever had this problem before? I wonder why it has started, because i did not change anything on my system (besides the automatic Updates for Vista that come frequently)

try running a reset.exe. not sure it will solve this issue but it could help

Did you overwrite your fresh install of 6 with th update ? you should install 7.1 to a new directory, regardless of the fact you reinstalled a new copy of 6. Make sure you have unzipped to a physcal folder first (t seems you have been doing this right).

Hi Polcorp.
Well, yes I did an install vo MV6. Then I unzipped MV7 to my Hard Disk and run the Install routine. MV7 was installed into a complete new Directory. I even tried the reset button - nothing. And the problem is, that when i delete MV7.1 an reinstlal MV 7.040 that i've still had the installer, that won't work anymore too... So I wait ant hope for 7.115 then...

i have this problem too .... i believe the files involved are those of MVLang**.dll ... couple of those files missing ..
i can ignore those error but i believe that the new 7.1 has new keyboard mapper programs which i couldn't see after installation ..

before i format my PC, i could installed without problem and i even seen those new keyboard bind interface which was cool.... but after reformat ... i couldn't install properly back ..

we've had version 7.1 around for a while and this seems to be a "new" issue. which version of windows are both of you using ?
