VST PLUGS (EFFECTS)

Postby m3lv on 17 Oct 2008, 00:41

OK! Quick and simple question.....

I have a number of vst plugs (effects) in the form of .exe

For example, in cubase, install to the vst folder and voila its there in the app' ready to utilise.

Is this posible in MV? I've tried a few no luck.Sure the ad states they are compatible?!

Any help advice welcome. :)

cheers,

In your options, set your Vst Directory to whatever directory your effects are installed into. The .dll files that you installed from the .exe should be there.

in the options menu set the VST directory to the correct location. your VST FX should then appear at the bottom of the FX list :D

by the way, you should enter your serial number in your profile so you can access the updates in the download center. make sure you are using version 7.100, it has better performances with VST FX

Hi and thanks for the reply,

OK, maybe I'm doing something wrong? Installed 3 different plugs into the vst folder (found in the Producer folder in programme files)

Am I right in assuming these plugs should now show in the same list as the mixvibes effects list becuse if thats the case ,then nothing I am installing is appearing/working??? Maybe I get access to the third party plugs somewhere else in the software? I've checked the path in the options and its as per where Im installing the plugs.

I have tried installing the following all with no joy...

OHM BOYZ delays
Akai.Pro.Vst collection
Waves VST

Nothing on either... :(

Sorry to be a pain but hopefully you can point me in the right direction, this facility would be real nice for mixes etc.

Cheers,

m3lv

ps I updated my profile and got 7.1 as you suggested before I followed your instructions

XP HOME p4 3.2GHZ
1GB RAM

All these plugs work fine in my production softwares

just drag and drop the VST '.dll' file in the folder and tests again
