DJ controller and mixvibes Cross

hello all..
its been a long time since iv been on here.
ive used my hercules mk1 DJ controller with an early version of mixvibes a while back but now i want to install it on my new laptop.

iv installed the controller i was wanting to try mixvibes Cross out before i bought it so downloaded the demo.

iv gone in to preferences and and changed the controller to DJ console but no joy any help any body?
no lights are lit up on my console not sure if it cud be a vista isssue?
any 1?

This MIDI device is not yet supported by Cross. Do you own a MixVibes 6 version?

well that explains a few things then. the option did come up in the preferences for DJ console thou? hmmm

no i havent got 6, iv never really got really in to it properly and once i get sorted there always seem to be a new product out then i get confused even more..

i nearly bout the DVS version and invested in some decks but never got round to it.. i tried a demo of 6 but didnt really like it..
im not serious DJ i just like playing, it chills me out..

i tried a package off here about 6 months ago, not sure what it was but it was really good, loops where spot on. but not sure what it was no..

my memory is failing me.

Not yet. You should take a look at version 7.

hehe yeah probably too much fish, well im actually eating alot of chicken at the minute so if u ever hear a track with alot of clucking as a voice over it will be me. haha

downloaded and installed 7 but the DJ console wont attach? or connect.

any ideas?

i will give it a go later.. thank you..

i did try it last night with the original mixvibes DJ console software.. and the controller worked so i know its not a problem there... will give that learning function a go..

hello all.
as i was saying the old mixes vibes works, but the new home addition has no joy with the DJ console..
iv tried alsorts now with no luck. the learn function doesnt appear to work and i pressume its because the mixvibes home addition isnt recognising it in the first place. when i load the old mixvibes a light comes on the DJ console when i load the new one no light appears so im pressuming its not finding the console in the first place any help?

- Did you go to [Preferences > Options > MIDI], check 'activate', choose for device and MIDI File 'Hercules DJ Console ...' then click on OK?

hello yes i did that. well it definatley can see the console is there because when the console is connected, its there in devices when it is coinnected it doesnt appear there,, so confused?
