[Windows XP Tweak Tip] Disable not needed services easily

Postby sakaana on 24 Sep 2008, 18:11

It`s not needed to do this by hand, there`s a great site which offers a little script which is doing all the work for you. And of course you can always restore your default settings if something went wrong (but i have to say that i never had a problem yet, used it on different notebooks).

Simply select (3) for all recommended "tweaks" and reboot when it`s done. After that you ll notice that your system should be started-up
much faster as before.
This has been tested by myself with using an installed SP3, no problems !

Another thing you should do (i think most of you know about this already) to optimize your system for ASIO: Set the processor usage to "background services".
