Hello,

In my case I had the same "problem", but not because of the connections. My Stanton deck had a ground problem, after taking it to repair, it came back with no ground problem, but phase inversed!

That's pretty odd for a stanton repair center to do, but oh well, now I just have to switch left and right on my cables (in my case, I do need to Cross to get over the phase inverse).

So, even if you do have all the connections right, you can still have an underlying Cross inside your own deck, keep that in mind! :)

if your cartridge is connected in the wrong way you will have a phase inversion. In any case, the phase inversiuon is harmless. If you deactivate the inversion your tracks will be spinning backwards. basically it just modifies the playback direction and doesn't alter the quality of the timecode.

Hello,

Also, and I haven't tried this but, if you have 1 deck phase inverted, and if you bypass mixvibes, and you play the same record on both decks (assuming a very good beatmatch), you should hear close to nothing, right, as boths decks are killing each other frequencies?

Hello,

Isn't it the same concept then creating acappela from instrumental and non-instrumental version of a song? Put the instrumental on one track, put the non-instrumental on the other, inverse one of them, and if they're correctly aligned, you'll get (close to) nothing but the voice?
