thanks for your reply polocorp

but i think it is called drift what im getting happens in all modes absolute as well as relative and it also happens when im beat jugglin the only reason i spin so fast in the video is to show the full scale of the problem , i understand that if i spin back really really fast i will get a lil drift but even doing simple jugglin it very hard with the newer versions , what i dont understand is that in the version 6.282 i can spin the record back as fast as i did in the video without any drift ??? but i dont have all the new features of mv 7 hopefully we will have some good update with this problem fixed ................thankyou again for getting back to me cheers sean

well there must be a problem in your configuration. Frankly I've seen Troubl' do amazing routines at many a show with MixVibes. He wouldn't ba able to do so if there was drift...

We're about to do some tests, so I'll get back to you soon.

i hear what you are saying , but to be honest when ive seen troubl sets he doesnt seem to be doing much juggling ,more just scratchin over a beat ,dont get me wrong he is a very very good DJ and im not saying he isnt but in the vids ive seen he is mainly just scratchin no fast or complex jugglin maybe there are some vids i just havent seen them ? i wait to hear your test results

as for my config i have used 3 different sound cards on 3 different p.c. with all kinds of settings and also bought a new set of turntables and needles incase the turntables cables were at fault .....

thanks again polocorp at least you are giving me some feedback , because i mailed 10 mixvibes team members with a link to this post and i am still waiting for 1 of them to say anything about it :neutral:

You did not need to do that because we're working as a team. Polocorp's reply was the reply of the whole team dude.

I saw troubl do some mad beat juggling action with james Brown's funky president at Plasa...

We tested 6.28 vs 7.100

=> drift :

- no drift on scratch motions on either version

=> backspin

- 7.100 backspin seems ok except for very drastic spins
-6.28 bacspin still of on drastic backspins but reacts slightly better indeed

Result : we are going to compare the differences of time code analysis btw the versions and recover whatever was better. eric think it might be a sound filter he added on version 6.29 to eliminate non-connected ground noise.

I was gonna post a video, but then again Troubl' is coming around in a couple of days. I think he is a more apporpriate demonstrator of the TC accuracy. Stay tuned :D

i appreciate the testing you and the team are doing to help me with my problem, i feel if you can solve this it will benefit the whole mixvibes community.
After many many hours of trying every imaginable setting i have found the best way to get 6.282 to work 95% perfect is as follows :-

1. calibrate
2. +10 on both channels L+R (mine calibrate at 32L and 30R so i make mine 42L and 40R)

once this is applied the input signal appears to be distorted but this is the only way ive found that works for me.

i will post a video of this process and the solid results i get when using this method (the record can be spun backwards at high speed without any of the problems shown in my earlier video) with 6.282 and v2 black vinyl.

Just chiming in - I get a bit of drift as well using Orange v2b vinyls on 7.1 as well. This is with either my MOTU Ultralite or the Maya 44 USB card with various settings, on both of my computers, using both my SL1200 M3D and a belt driven Stanton T.50.
