High tones vibrating with vinyl

Postby FredrikH on 16 Jul 2008, 14:23

I have been running Mix Vibes DVS for almost a year now and didnt notice this until just now. When I change between using the timecoded vinyls and just running the players on the screen the sound is different. With the vinyls there is a slight vibration in the higher tones, especially if its a long dragged out tone its clearly noticable. When I switch over to use the on screen players the bibration is gone. I have recently bought a new mixer but that cant be the cause since the on scren players also go through the mixer. The turntables are regular Technics 1210 MK2 with Ortofone concord. There is no vibrating sound when I plar regular vinyls. What can be the cause? I am sure it wasnt sounding like that a few weeks ago because I would have noticed.

best regards,
Fredrik Hagblom

which mode do you spin in ? Absolute, relative ? Do you use the master tempo ?
