so, i tried to figure out how to post a new forum entry and didn't succeed, so this is where it ended up. i have been having many problems with mixvibes since i got it, and am starting to become really frustrated. what happens now is that i experience a bothering latency (it sais 6ms, but it's not it...i don't know if the sound output is being managed by some other component than the u46mk2) and for a few minutes (1-5) i can use mixvibes with no particular problems, except or the latency i mentioned, and then it starts to add a buzz and distorted sound to my music. i've read all kinds of previews posts i could find, but no solution worked for me. please, please help me out. i have a show and a DJ set to prepare and people relying on me, so this is getting quite uncomfortable for me. i tried torq two days ago and with a 5ms latency working throug a laptop that compared to mine is garbage, and it felt like vinyl, so i'm sure that my real latency is higher than the 6 msn it says (256 samps). until now i feel quite let down by the whole mixvibes thing, i'm sorry to say...hope that can change quickly. greetings -phono41

thx for replying. i already had installed that driver. still doesn't work. now it's even worse, the install wizard doesn't recognize the timecode eventhough yesterday it did. and i haven't changed a thing in my settings since. this can't be right... i get even more buzzing sound now, options-vinyl doesn't recognize it and tells me "the percentage of time code analyzed (0%) is too low". still the wave/circle i get is quite smooth/round. oh and when it starts tu buzz etc, as soon as i open the "options" menu it calms down and returns to normal. i have no clue don't know what else to do. and my time is running out, so please, PLEASE help me out. greetz -phono

yes i did. more than once. followed the instructions, watched the video on youtube etc etc. cables vinyls and needles seem to be ok. ground connection as well. the strange thing is that for exapmple when i just installed mixvibes and the driver it recognizes everything with no problem, like 98% quality. and then all of a sudden it doesn't even recognize them anymore, without me having touched anything. and everything is close to new...mixvibes is like 3 weeks old, needles are 2 months old, and the rest has been checked and works fine. + i repeat, torq had no problems at all with my PC and my setup. so i guess it must be some driver - settings issue, but i don't know what else to try.

something for you to check.... in your config report...you have the RIAA pre-amp tick yes.. if you are running the phono pre-amp on the sound card and the RIAA pre-amp in mixvibes together that can give you some where do you have the turntable grounded to....to the mixer or to the sound card....better to ground to the sound card for the buzz....try to un-plug your laptop from the mains power and run of the battery....to see if its not a ground feedback loop thear are two knobs on the front of your sound card ...turn the knobs down to off

riaa pre amp would be "phono yes/no"? i tried different combinations with that, no results. i grounded my ttables to the soundcard, just like the video said. i tried to un-plug the laptop, doesn't change anything. i guess you mean three knobs? all three of them are down. se sound fu**s up even when it doesn't run through the timcode vinyl, so for me mixvibes fails even as a normal mp3 palyer. that's why it seems plausible to me that it is some driver or configuration issue. and as i said.. as soon as i open the "options" menu while it starts buzzing it starts functioning kinda well for a short time. but i can't afford that in a live performance, having loud buzzing every two minutes and having to open the options menu, it's ridiculous. and hey, i paid for this stuff, had someone bring it to me from germany because it's not sold in argentina, got a laptop... it must work, damitt i can't just have thrown my money out of the window to be left with a useless soundcard and interface. if someone can help me, maybe adding me to msn in way to be mor immediate... i don't know, i'd really appreciate and really need help. thanks to those who tried to help so far, it's just unfortunate it didn't actually help. here's my last config report...

You have to clean off all traces of mixvibes in order to update (reinstall, update)....always shutdown/restart when you uninstall, install or delete anything....it has to be on absolute mode to calibrate
Mixvibes DVS/ U46MK2
Turion 1.9 GHz/ 2048 MB Ram/ 280 Gb HDD/ Windows Vista
Technics 1200m3d/ Q-Bert Ortofon/ Rane TTM-56

yes always did it like that, uninstalling, restarting etc etc... thanks for the absolute mode hint, i can calibrate my vinyl now. still has the same problems though... (see previous posts - mainly buzzing and rough deterioration of the sound quality every 1-5 minutes, which instantly corrects itself as soon as i open the "options-sound" menu, without touching anything ). if you know anything else i could try...anything... let me know, PLEASE.
