i bought a cheapish DJ MIDI controller for the kids to use but it doesnt work with software provided any ideas

Great you already registered. After doing so, did you download the latest LE version? If so, which was it.

Please also provide info on your hardware en OS version.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).
