Can there be a 32-bit Mixvibes again? I can't use 64-bit!

Postby ldorio on 18 Oct 2014, 13:57

Dear Mixvibes team,

I have been a loyal user of Mixvibes since 2006, and my studio has evolved and grown along with the software. I was using DVS 6.282 for years, because that was always the best one up until Cross came out and changed my perception of the software forever.

I've consistently dedicated the best resources for Mixvibes, including at one point an RME Fireface 800 and Allen & Heath Xone 464 mixer. Of course I always throw a hugely powerful laptop in the mix as well.

Now, CURRENTLY, I'm running an i7 3630QM, with an Ecler EVO5. I've got 2 EVO 5 mixers, and they integrate perfectly. I finally have the setup that makes the most sense for me. I also know how to repair them, so no problem. OK, one problem, they're 32-bit drivers only. They don't even make these mixers anymore, so there is no hope for 64 bit drivers. I know how to service these mixers, so I can keep mine running forever.

When 3.2 came out, there was a bug on track load/unload that would cause glitching, but everything else was great. I read in the changelog that this was fixed in 3.3, but everything is now 64 bit. Is there ANY possibility for just ONE more fixed 32-bit version? Even if it's some sort of intermediate one?

Help a loyal Mixvibes fan out. I own Virtual DJ, Serato, Traktor, Ms Pinky, Torq2, and I've stayed with Mixvibes because I think it's the best.

The installation includes both 32 and 64-bit versions and you're free to select which version to launch and use.

Also Pioneer doesn't have 64bit. And not all users have 64bit OS. So likely it will be supported in some more versions.

Hi there,
I am not sure that I'm in the right place since I'm a newbie on this forum. Anyway I just upgraded to Cross 3.3.1 and I use Pioneer Cdj850's. I am running Windows 7 home premium 64bit. Problem is I cannot see Pioneer Asio driver when running Cross 3.3.1 64bit, and therefore cannot route my audio as required. I am able to see the Asio driver when I run Cross 3.3.1 32bit. Does this mean that Pioneer Asio driver is 32bit only, and why?

Hope you can help in this regard.

Mixvibes Cross 64 bits needs 64 bits audio and this is in your case up to Pioneer!

I've said it before, but how about a 32bit / 64bit checkbox in the installer to select which one to install ?

Its not at all obvious from the installer or the download pages that both 32bit and 64bit versions are included. Though I think most of us have grasped it now :)

I'm assuming the Pioneer driver issue is only for Windows users? I've been using my DJM 850 no problem on OS X with Cross 3.3.1 64 bit.

i tried to install version 3.31 yesterday but i saw the 64bit icon on desktop is like generic icon or look like a shortcut without a program.

when i tried to click the 64bit shorcut icon a message this program can't run on your PC appeared. i'm using windows 8 64bit with core i5 3317u cpu. the 3.31 32bit works fine. i'm wondering why the 64bit is not working on my laptop?

thanks in advance
