Hello,
** While I have registered my serial number, this is the only forum that permits me to post a thread. My apologies for the misplacement. **
I recently purchased Cross DJ and have a pair of native instruments DJ splitter cables. I have the audio settings set on split mono and after reading various forum threads have messed with the mix nob and various others... to no avail.
First question: I believe (correct me if I'm wrong), but my sound card for my computer, operating off Windows 7, is IDT High Definition CODEC. Trying to check to see if it was multi-channel, the properties tab gave this: * LR Front Panel Analog Jack * LR Front Panel Analog Jack * LR Left Panel 3.5mm Jack
Does this mean multi-channel? As in, does this permit the use of a splitter cable, or am I out of line?
How else can I configure such to have dual / separate audio outputs?
Secondary, but a friend of mine uses a Behringer UCA202 Audio Interface. Would this be compatible with Cross DJ in the situation that I cannot support split mono with my existing sound card?

Daniel Clark:
I cannot seem to insert screen shots into this message box. Since you know the forum, help?
As for redirection of this thread, I will message "unclevibes" and see if it can be moved to a more appropriate list.
ASIO4ALL... I have seem it referenced a couple times, and will download it to my computer, but it currently is not an option in the audio preferences of my Cross DJ. Perhaps this could help.
On the matter of the referenced sound card - Behringer UCA202 Audio Interface, please let me know if you find that it is compatible with Cross DJ.

Well, I received a response from RoJeC about split mono. Maybe this can describe more of the issue that I'm having.
--- It is not clear what is going wrong. So some quick reply only. If it doesn't work please post a capture of your audio settings and of the gui.
Audio setting should be split mono. In gui knob fader MIX should be fully left. Knob fader CUE should be open. Switch Cross fader to playng deck for starters. Use head phone button for listening per deck
Enjoy. ---
My response was as such: 1. Audio at split mono - yes
2. Mix nob (top right corner next to the master volume nob) - to the left
3. Knob fader cue (is this the cue volume? Otherwise, where is it?) - not sure
4. Cross fader to playing deck - yes
5. Head phone button for listening - yes
So, it seems that out of the list I have all of the setting correct, except #3.
My issue is that when I selected the cued port to test a song, the sound is played through both outputs... and I am utilizing a native instruments DJ splitter cable.
Question. My set up is currently two different pairs of head phones (no access to a speaker system). Could this be an issue?
As for screenshots, I still am not sure how to import them into this forum. Help?

Screen shots are placed in the fourm by using the upload attachments tab at the bottom of the posting page ,,not shure if your user rights will show that tab in gen chat ,, ,if you still cant post in Cross topic page ,, look and see ,, everything seems right ,, have to remember item #3 ,, thinking if you go into preferences turn on tool tips ,, should be the middle knob ,, tool tips will label it cue/mix ,, should be turned counter clock wise ,, if this isn't solution for you then I suspect that the splitter cabel is not situtated right have you tried your friends sound card ,, and or have you tried asio for all ,, that if you have a multi channel sc installed in your computer ,, should see something akin to fr/fl and rr/rl also have more than one headphone jack (audio) out should be able to look in the computers sound card set up ,, ,, might seem long and drawn out but with limited info and your limited resources ,, trying to work it out for you ,,
