Hi there, I have not found any hint in the manual or the forum to solve my little problem, so perhaps someone here has a solution for me. I use Cross 3.2.1 with 2 Denon S-3700 in Hybrid Mode. Both players have the same firmware and the same preset settings (except the MIDI chanel).
The CUE function on deck A is behaving like this (and by the way this is my expectation): 1) Song paused - navigate through the waveform - press CUE - new CUE is set 2) hold CUE - press PLAY - release CUE - song continues
The CUE funktion on deck B behaves like this: 1) song paused - navigate through the waveform - press CUE - now it jumps back to the old CUE 2) hold CUE - press PLAY - release CUE - song jumps back to CUE and starts playing from the CUE point
Is there any way to configure this behaviour? The MIDI settings are both indentical on Hybrid.cue in the mapping file.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, examined your mapping file and found some inconsistencies. If this is your mapping please remember that my observations are aimed to be constructive, not trying to slam your mapping.
That said, I think it needs to be re-written.
1. The commands for FX selection and triggerring are mapped diferently from one deck to the other. The proper command is FX select and toggle. 2. Pitch mode for decks A and B is mapped differently from each other. 3. Smartseek increment for decks A and B is mapped differently from each other. 4. Smartseek devrement for decks A and B is mapped differently from each other. 5. Fx select #2 is mapped to a button on deck B while shiftlogic 2 under the same button on deck A. 6. Fullscreen, ShowBeatmatcher, shiftlogic1, and expand collection commands are only functional on deck A 7. Match A with B is no longer a valid MIDI command and is only mapped in deck A. 8. Load command usage is different from one Deck A to deck B. 9. Hybrid cue is no longer valid MIDI command. 10 Hybrid play/pause is no longer a valid MIDI command and is only mapped to deck B. 10. Different select and toggle FX selections are being used across both deck A and B. 11. FX1 depth and Filter A are only mapped on deck A. 12. Your MIDI output section (LED lights) is not configure to function with shiftlogic command mofifiers. so if you hold a shiftlogic button all LEDs will go off.
All the inconsistencies indicate that an older version of Cross MIDI Aliases was used to created the map. As a results there are command that are no longer valid in the map. These command would not be visible in the automatic MIDI learn section of Cross, they will have to be edited manually.
I can write a new version that will work for Cross 3.X but it will take some time and I can't test it. If you are willing to go into some back and forward I can do the same thing I did for the DDJ-SR. meaning 1. I write the code 2. you test the map and provide feedback 3. I write code to fix 4. you test the map and provide feedback 5. back to #1 until we get it perfect.
Let me know.

Hi, I would really appreciate your help on that. As you can see I have limited time too, but I would really like to take the chance learning from you how to adapt the mapping to Cross 3.x.
You are right the mapping is based on the initial mapping of Cross 2.4 or something. The inconsistence between A and B are historically based, because I first had one player, did a configuration, then bought the second and only configured the functions I really used.
We should use PM to exchange the files and post the mapping in the download area when it is finshed.

Could you make a copy of the original map and post it so i can get a baseline. I see the description of the map in the web site but no file to download and the 3700 is not listed on the available maps with 3.2???? I got a good idea of what is needed but like to be certain as to what was the baseline original map used.

Hi,
indeed there are 3 buttons below the platter which are inscribed "Brake, Dump, Reverse". I thought it would be nice to use them exactly as they are inscribed.
To use the "Exit" Button as shift logic is my preference, because it is near to the hot cue buttons and I can use hot cue 4 - 6 with one hand.
There is no reason not to use the eject button in the MIDI commands because the DN S-3700 as a hybrid player creates the 3000 kHz signal itself. There is no need to use the time code CDs.
Thanks so much for your help!
