Since the SZ uses two load dials... I was thinking of using the left load dial to scroll through the playlist section and the right load dial to scroll through the song list.
Can't be done because the two load dials they are 2 physical dials they share the same parameter(address) and the same channel.
On the coming map I set up horizontal or column navigation by using
Shift+dial (command = ChangeActiveBrowsable)
The vertical navigation is just the dial
(command = BrowseActiveBrowsable)
The push button will load the track depending on which deck you have selected.
Deck 1
Push button = LoadInPlayerA
Shift + push button = Player A ReloadAsCloneOfMaster
Deck 2
Push button = LoadInPlayerB
Shift + push button = Player B ReloadAsCloneOfMaster
Deck 3
Push button = LoadInPlayerC
Shift + push button = Player C ReloadAsCloneOfMaster
If deck 3 is sampler 1 then
Shift + push button = Sampler 1 BrowseSampleBankList
Push button = Sampler 1 LoadSelectedSampleBank
Deck 4
Push button = LoadInPlayer4
Shift + push button = Player D ReloadAsCloneOfMaster
If deck 4 is sampler 1 then
Shift + push button = Sampler 2 BrowseSampleBankList
Push button = Sampler 2 LoadSelectedSampleBank
BACK=PerformPrimaryActionOnActiveBrowsable
pressing this will allow you to open the directory selected in the tree or if you are already in a list it will turn on the track preview.
Shift+BACK = ExpandCollapseCollection
LOAD PREPARE = AddToPrepare
Shift+LOAD PREPARE = app(FullScreen)
Had to change the FX section a bit.
R = rotaries 1,2,3
PB = Pushbutton 1,2,3
R1= Titler image Size
Shift+R1= Titler Image Transparency
R2 = FX Amount
Shift+R2 = Titler Placement Index
R3= FX Depth
Shift+R3= Titler Text X Speed
BEATS = FX Select
Shift+BEATS = Trasition Type
PB1= Enable Titler image
Shift+PB1=Tiltler Image Preset Index
PB2 = Load Audio
Shift+PB2 = Load Video
PB3 = FX Input for Master
Shift+PB3 = Changes tIme Display Mode for deck 1 and 3
TAP=FX Mode switch
Shift+TAP = Bidirectional FX on/off
All controls are the same for FX2 except for the following.
All titler functions are for the text titler.
FX applies to FX 2
Deck applies to deck 2 and 4.
Shift+R3= Titler Text Y Speed
LEDs
PB1 ON = FX ON
PB2 Blink = Video and audio are not from the same file
PB3 ON = INput for FX unit set to MASTER
BEATS = Blinks at diferent rates depending on AV switch for FX

As of now...You need to press Shift...then select how much you want to strink or extend auto loop. I would like to get rid of the shift completely.
OK the current configuration is
1/2X= LoopHalve
2X= LoopDouble
Shift+ 1/2X= AutoLoopSelect decrement
Shift+ 2X= AutoLoopSelect increment
I can swap the commands to normally use AutoLoopSelect decrement
and increment. Then use the shift for LoopHalve and LoopDouble.
Otherwise you loose LoopHalve and LoopDouble commands.

On this one the sensitivity of the strip may need to be adjusted. i don't own the controller so I can't set a sensitivity and test it correctly.
dj_decka wrote:Tempo control does not work properly. Moving it up or down...only changes the tempo slightly....producing slight random tempo changes.
I checked the map on this one and it is mapped correctly. You might want to check your tempo range and increase it.
dj_decka wrote:Also I noticed that the jog wheel flickers slightly when the song is paused. Jog wheel however does not flicker when playback is happening.
This may have to do with the interval at which the jog dial send update signals to the internal procesor.
The jog dial sends a signal tot he processor and the processor rersponds with the proper LED readout. If the interval is set at a greater number the updates are going to be too slow and you may see some flicker.
This is a hardware adjustment, there are instructions on the DDJ-SZ manual for the adjustment.
Remember
Higher interval number= less updates and you may see some flicker
Lower interval number= more updates and the flicker may dissappear.
Since this is strickly hardware, it shouldn't have an impact on the computer's processing power but I don't know for sure. Again this is something that I can't test since I don't own the controller or have one available to test. It is possible this is related to the fact that the jogwheels on the DDJ-SZ are larger than those on the DDJ-SX.
There are 2 versions included, the difference is on the 14bit MIDI tables. Please let me know which one works best. Full documentation will follow.
