Checked: in both Cross as Cross DJ you can record 2 inputs + aux in as well as decks C and D.
If you use the tt for deck A and B you can use mp3 (or any audio file) in deck C and D to record all.
For like € 89,- you can upgrade to have all features available, like time code and all video options.
Just try your setup and be amazed on what is in it already.

Hello.

I need to start this thread again, because i got my Xone23C now and it doesn't really work.

If i connect the turntables to the phono inputs the software doesn't record anything. If i connect the turntables to the line input the software also doesn't record anything. (The Stanton St 150 can switch to both...from phono to line)

The only way i can record is if i play my mp3s in the Cross le software. It works fine then, but no way to records something which comes via the line input i select in the software?!

Another problem is if i select line in on deck A i get an acoustic feedback which is indescribable loud!

Can someone help me? I think the software and the mixer aren't made for what i want to use it for...

Not an expert on this, but think I have some suggestions.

First of all use Line level everywhere (if possible). Turntable amp usually has best characteristics for raising from phono to line level for the specific device. (No other need to use phono level than tt without line option)

If you connect your tt to the mixer, then likely your audio is routed to your speakers in the mixer. So no input into Cross when set to External mixer meaning it is recording nothing. You could e.g. send main out to a Cross input channel and record then.

Acoustic feedback can be several things. Maybe your laptop mic, or monitoring channel A (in soundcard settings), or preview On for deck A with Mix knob (of preview/main) not fully headphone (left).
You could start with disabling inputs in Cross (set to none) to exclude some options.

Please let's know if this was helpfull.

Thanks for your answer but it didn't really help.

At the moment i am using technics turntables so only phono is available.

The audio settings in Cross are dual stereo in the routing modus. I can't select a soundcard input and I don't use the external mixer option because i don't use one. the xone23c is my mixer.

how do i send the main out to a Cross mixer input?

If i disable the inputs 1/2 and 3/4 there is no acoustic feedback any more.

Hello everyone!

What do I need to mix DVS with Allen & Heath Xone 23:C?
- a computer, Mac or PC
- 2 turntables
- 2 timecoded vinyls
- 2 RCA cables
- a Xone 23:C, that comes with Cross LE
- configure the DVS mode by connecting the harnesses, as shown in page 19 of the PDF user guide: http://www.allen-heath.com/ahproducts/xone-23c/#tab4

What's the difference between Cross LE and Cross?
Cross LE is the software you get automatically when you buy the Allen & Heath Xone 23:C.
Compared to Cross, Cross LE does not :
- have 4 players (but it does have 2 players + 2 samplers)
- allow for HID control
- allow for video output (=Mixvibes watermark on output, but you can still test the video feature)
- work with anything else than the Xone 23:C

To unlock those limitations, upgrade to Cross for 69€: https://secure.shareit.com/shareit/chec ... 0015&js=-1

Will Cross + Allen & Heath Xone 23:C work with my turntables ?
Yes, if the DVS mode in configured.

I hope this might help you! Don't hesitate to send a message if you have other questions!
Have a nice day!
