My library is so unorganised, I'm on a mission to fix that! A big part of that is to update the tags of my library, specifically the genre of a track. I found this - http://www.mp3tag.de/en/download.html - but wondered if any of you could recommend something?

I think it's pretty good. It does everything I need it to do.
I need to update 2000+ tracks, obviously from lots of different releases, albums etc. what's the best way to do that? Looking very quickly it seemed like I'd have to go through each track individually.

if you go to there home page it list the features ,, think batch editing is possible ,, used media monkey ,,but made a mess of my libary ,, shying away from that one ,, mainly using win media player to get missing album art ,, not the best but as long as it shows the art in Cross and doesnt mess up my media , can live with it

I'm not sure MP3Tag does what I want it to do.
I want to be able to select a wide range of tracks, click update and have it look up the tracks on discogs (for example) and then automatically update the tag (genre only, if possible) and not prompt me to confirm every track (which it seems to be doing at the moment).
