daniel clark wrote:RoJeC wrote:(was writing while Daniel posted; seems like we ask the same in different words..) thats not a bad thing seems to me the issue is not in the recording but in your sound out put ,, more info on that aspect of your set up ,, my set up i can keep the track faders at 100% and the output gain at 90 to 100% with out clipping ,, the eq set to mid point ,, so at this stage need info to see where the fault lies
Is there some sort of config file I can upload so that I do not have to write down everything manually? Or maybe I can just take some screenshots? @Rojec: Right now I am at work, so I have no access to my home PC, but maybe this information already helps: - I only record audio. - .wav (Always assumed this is the "fastet" format) - Tried both: Internal and external hdd. Both are quite budget drives, I don't know the speed. The remaining space is ~100gig on both. - Cache is set to max. Do you really think that the problems are caused by poor performance? I never had these problems with VDJ. It feels like I am missing something essential, which VDJ has done for me by default.

on the bottom of the posting page there should be a tab for posting screen shots(attachments) if its not on your page let us know and we will move the topic to teck support to give you ability to post attachments ,, you say that the other software preforms and records with the proper levels ,, ruling out improper audio output routing no mention if you have anylised your files ,, what type of files are you trying to record ,, and if all were anylised what are the adjusted gain levels that the software has adjusted then too ,,,, well when you get home hopefully more info to come

Yesterday I analyzed my whole collection (Took 5 hours lol). After spinning some tracks and recording the set, the problem remained. My tracks are MP3s, mostly 320kbps, some 256kbps. Yesterday I only tried the good quality ones, so I think the input file quality is not the problem. How can I see the "adjusted gain levels"? The knob always stays at like 50%, no matter which track I load. I will post screenshots of my gui and the settings pages this afternoon

you can either have the gain level showing in the collection as one of the columes or look at the track highlighted in the info panel ,, also can adjust them there ,, ,nothing seems out of bounds with the file type and anylising them is a good thing ,, did you see the upload attachments tab at the bottom of the posting page if not then this topic will be moved to Cross teck support for this function to be avaible for you by internal/external you where refering to your harddrives and not the audio routing ,

Thanks a lot! I never noticed this and will definetely check this out, once I return home (4 hours remaining ). did you see the upload attachments tab at the bottom of the posting page if not then this topic will be moved to Cross teck support for this function to be avaible for you
Yes, there is the "upload attachment" tab. I will try it now and upload a silly picture of a cat. If that works, it will work with my screenshots aswell. :?: by internal/external you where refering to your harddrives and not the audio routing ,
I war referring to the HDDs. You can see the routing on the screenshots, once I can make them. Silly_cat.jpg

general.PNG audio.PNG gui.PNG okay, here are the screenshots Displayed the gain now. Does it automatically adjust the gain to this number or do I have to manually turn the knob?

if you anylised your files for gain then thease are the #,that the anylise changed them to ,, they should be close to gether in sound ,,there might be slight discrepiencies ,but not major to cause the clipping ,use your ear to comfirm try this using your laptop/desk top installed sc ,,run some tracks for recording with the track gains at say 95 to 100 and listen at the output of the computer ,,cliping ,, check the play back of the recorded track thrue the installed sc ,, clipping /low /high / or where you want it to be ,, surmiing that the outputs from the reloop sc are too high or being double amped ,, my guess is doubled amped ,, just thinking about the possibilities
