We (and many others) don't have this kind of issues...

Which windows version are you using?

By the way, the error message you show at the beginning of this thread make us think some things are kind of corrupted on your machine...

This c++ runtime is normally not required to run Cross but you can try reinstalling it as advised in the Microsoft forum... and let us know.

Where do you drop the new video file?
In video preferences, is the option "Separate audio/video loading" checked?

I completely reinstalled system. Video mode is bad.

Separate audio/video is off. Tested one video file on two players. First time worked well.
When reloaded the same file in the player (not right after you reload the file, and after many reloads file) :
1) the sound is not audible, but video is have.
2) or missing video, but sound is have.

Tried on other files to test - also.
