What I think is happening is that you have your HDMI output set up for a duplicate monitor of your desktop.

Before you open Cross, make your HDMI connections but make sure that you set up your monitor to be an extension of the desktop.
(this is done in Windows monitor setup)

After setting up your second monitor as an extension of the desktop you will see that your normal computer monitor has your desktop and your second monitor has only the background image.

If you want to verify that it is set up correctly, open any window and drag it to the edge of your computer monitor,

If it is correct you will that the window that you are dragging start to appear in your second monitor.

Ok now close that window and open Cross, enable the video output as mentioned by Daniel and your second monitor will display the center video image from Cross while your desktop is displaying the Cross graphical user interface (GUI).

Hi

I just remember that there is a coarse pitch bend setting that can be mapped instead of the regular pitch bend. Perhaps that setting will be more in tune with your workflow. Look in the MIDI mapping section for the commands.

Hi guys and thanks for the windows tips. I finally got the LCD TV working with Cross but thought it would be a better picture. The video 'titler' in Cross is horrible. If I type something in and have it scroll across the screen, it it very jumpy and looks like knives are cutting the words in half. I have less than a year old brand new LCD HDTV and have gone thru all of the settings to make it better. The video visuals aren't too bad but music videos and the titler part of Cross are a problem. I am using the 2nd Radeon video card which shows that it is working in the system monitor.

Any thoughts on making video quality better? Thanks

Make sure that Cross output is set for 1080
Make sure your windows set resolution for 2nd monitor is set for 1080 (if supported by your monitor)

Play around with setting in Cross to either preserve or strch aspect ratio, wichever works best for you.

Yeah, Fig is that Cross 1080 setting in Preferences-->Video-->Video Devices Tab? Maximum capture device quality? Everytime I click on that tab it opens up my webcam on the laptop. Never really delved into that area much. Maybe that is where I can set the HDTV. I am not at the laptop now but will try it asap.

I know Win7 settings were at 1966 X 7xx? last night on TV. These were the recommended Win settings. This should be higher than 1080 correct?

Thanks

Checked out all of the settings and tabs I could find on Cross. Where is this setting to set Cross output to 1080? I went into the Video Devices tab but it keeps opening up my webcam. All settings in Windows are at the max. It seems like I should be getting video output in HD quality from Cross but it looks like real low quality. Got to be a setting somewhere. Thanks...

I could try forcing the Radeon HD card, in the BIOS, to be the only video card used instead of a switchable mix between that and the Intel 4000 one. In other words see if I can bypass the switchable graphics.

Video titler in Cross is running really jumpy & cutting letters in half.

I even upgraded the firmware on my TV. The upgrade said it would make the picture even better and help with motion tearing. I still get the the tearing of letters in Cross in the titler when scrolling text. Still don't know where this 1080 setting is in Cross. I believe I have checked all the tabs & settings. Even the second Radeon card is kicking in. Video visuals aren't too bad. Anywhere else I could check?

does the tearing only occure when the titler is scrolling ,,
didnt have this issue even on my old vista system ,,,,,
