Jog wheels problem :(

Postby lacraize on 25 Feb 2014, 08:36

Hi everybody,

I dont understand why Cross DJ (version 1.7) was perfectly running on my old PC with Windows and now that I have installed the last version (3.00) on my new MACBOOK PRO, I have big problems with Jog wheels...

When I use JOG WHEELS, it doesn't scratch the song but it changes the pitch bend (I have checked that I'm in vinyl mode)

Can you help me please because all the buttons work properly appart of the Jog wheels !!

HELP HELP THANKS !

Seems like a MIDI issue. Do you have some more info. What is the controller you're using. What MIDI mapping did you select in Preferences. Are you using your own MIDI mapping.

Audio dropouts? Increase audio 'buffer size' value.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

What is the controller you're using. --> i'm using U-Mix Control Pro controller.

What MIDI mapping did you select in Preferences --> the mapping by default (U-Mix Control Pro). I tried to change but I have the problem with all mapping I tried...

Are you using your own MIDI mapping. --> No

Thanks for your interest to my problem !!

I have the same problem. It was working, but something has changed after my son has been pushing buttons like crazy. Nobody here that can give us a hint what to change? Thanks in advance for any help.

This is a pretty old topic. Please be a little more descriptive on what is going wrong. Also what your setup is and the selected MIDI mapping.

My problem is that the player 1 is pitch bending when I try to move a track or scratch with the jogwheel while player 2 is exactly doing what I want it to do. I use Mixvibes 3.3.10 and a Mixvibes U-Mix Control Pro 2. I am using the MIDI Version 2.40. Does that information help?

Nobody here that can help? Now my player 2 is also not moving the track anymore. I installed the driver from the download area, but that does not change anything. Would a deinstallation of Cross help?

 look at your controller when its in use ,,the side that working properly ,,there is a button that labeled jog ,, the state its in ,,light/un light is the state that the other one should be in ,, meaning that by pussing the jog button on the controller either has it in jog or pitch bend,,if thats not the solution then check the gui for if the icon for cd or vinal is the same for both players  meant to replie earlier but got waylaid with other commitiments ,, hope this helps

Thank you Daniel for the feedback. What do you mean by Gui? I already tested the vinyl/ not vinyl button and that does not help. Within the next days I will visit a friend that has the control pro 1 and I will check if his controller is working with my laptop. But anyway, I will check the gui if thou give me a hint where to find it. :-)
