Just a question, did you test before complaining?

Because, from what I remember, If you push Cue in timecode it jumps to the cue point.

As said above only Play/Pause and 'cue holding' are disabled.

Maybe I understand timecode wrong, but isn't the entire idea that your CD-player or TT determines where you are in a track, what speed the deck is running. Say your needle is halfway on the timecode vinyl and you can push cue on the software. Now the needle is still halfway on the vinyl but the track is at the beginning?

Doesn't really make sense to me. You press cue on your CD player to go back to the beginning or you lift the needle and place it back at the beginning on a TT. That's the whole idea behind timecode.

Or am I missing something here?

You are perfectly right but some people want more with timecode. That's why the relative mode exists.

Yes you lift the needle or hit a cue button on a cd player, but that's "stone age" DJ'ing, guys....EVERY DJ software has the capability to do what I'm complaining about.

Just because I'm on vinyl, doesn't mean I want to work like I'm on vinyl, I still want to cue back with a cue button! Let me say that again, I want to cue back with a cue button. Not lift a needle, not roll a record back. Not set a cue point I want to hit the software cue button.

Currently Virtual DJ, Traktor, and Serato DJ have this capability. And the fact that you guys don't makes trying to make a set in here time consuming because I have to lift a needle, or roll a record back.

Another thing I said that you didn't read correctly....the cue button is more than for just cueing....it can be used a stutter button...something that gets disabled because I'm on vinyl? That doesn't make sense to me, guys.

This is traktor's take on it, this is why it's useful to NOT disable the play button completely with timecode.

The problem I have with this software is that it takes too much time to disable timecode and re enable it. The software should automatically decide if I'm touching the timecode or using it's internal MIDI controls (even if they are play and cue)

In traktor's case you can get out of scratch mode simply by hitting the play button (cue button as well as all other buttons work too)

In virtual DJ you can keep the vinyl spinning and armed in timecode mode and still stutter back with a cue button. This is a TRUE relative mode

This CAN be achevied in your software by turning off security mode in settings, however I want the safety of the security mode, so by hitting play/pause, or hte cue button you can stop the record but not stop the timecode...Your playback is too dependent on timecode when using them.
