Hi there,
I'm new to the forum and would like to get some suggestions and clarification.
I bought 2 years ago an old mixvibes DVS pro including the software, the cd's, time-coded records and cables. DVS no longer exists and Cross is the current software. The time coded records and cd's will still work with it? I need to purchase Cross alone or with the U-Mix Control Pro 2 to get the free upgrade to Cross 3, right ? I wanna use it as DVS or with a controller. The capabilities are great and the extra-features (i.e. Recording a video mix, hardware compatibility, etc...) make Cross stand out so i wanna work with an additional software to step up my game (i use Serato Scratch Live) and it allows me to keep my set up and map the way i want.
Thanks for your answers. Peace.

DVS ,, what sound card set up ,,, you can purchess Cross and use the existing sound interface from DVS and time codes ,,to use in the set up ,, controlpro2 comes bundeled with Cross DJ and only supports MIDI control ,,(need Cross for tc and hid and embedded vid ) have control pro 2 and is a good set up for using t c ,, less cable clutter,, got Cross at upgrade price years ago ,, MIDI controller later ,,happy with the set up and never got into tc control ,, check out the product page for more info also any more answered here

Hi Daniel, Thanks for your fast answer. There wasn't any soundcard in my DVS pack, i only had the time codes, cd's, cables and the installation cd . I guess my Rane SL3 will work . I use an HP Pavillion DV6 that runs Windows7. I thought that Control Pro 2 could be used as a mixer, allowing to use time codes. So i must purchase Cross alone? Let me know if i'm wrong.

for DVS ,,if you go to the Cross software platform then Cross not crossdj is what you need ,, ,,depending what you want to spend if you have a multi channel sc , then all you will need is the software ,,not familiar with the rane unit , to speak of its use ,,no matter the Cross software come at a upgrade price due to already having a mixvibes product regerstered ,,just suggested the u mixcontrol pro for its compactness,,MIDI control capabilities and the sc ,,,,sad it comes bundeled with Cross DJ ,,pleanty of options ,,
