Additional LED output behavior for locators

Postby FigDJ on 24 Oct 2013, 18:18

Right I am using UMCP-2 and Quneos or the DDJ-SX.

On the current behavior you can set the LEDs for a controller to light up for when a locator is set and off for when is not active (meaning is free to be set). There is no additional behavior for triggering a locator.

My suggestion is about that trigger. If a locator is already set it would be lit up. I am requesting an additional behavior, either a change in intensity or a blink. It would be some kind of flash behavior for when an already set locator is triggered.

You are Beta-Tester ? right ?
Have you installed the latest beta available?
Have you tested the update mapping of the DDJ-SX?

So,
Locator Off = No Locator in Track = Led OFF
Locator ON = Locator in Track = Led ON
Locator as a Loop = Locator in track as a loop = Led ON and Blink

The intensity can be controlled by software, but it is very complicated to implement, and if the firmware of the controler allows .
The behavior of a Hotcue is ON, OFF and sometimes Blink ...

This is something I have been thinking about for the Quneo controllers.
I only have access to iOS Beta testing in the downloads section. I don't even see the Beta testing forum.

You deserve to be a Cross Beta tester, you certainly know your stuff, Victor

Lets see what P_Jean has to say on the matter ;)
