From what I understand you want to use the U-Mix Control Pro as a MIDI Controller while at the same time use the Audio 8 as the sound card. If that is correct, this is how I would do it. (I don't have this setup so this is a trial)
1. Install Any driver for your Audio 8 soundcard.
2. Start Cross/CrossDJ.
3. Verify sound card configuration in Cross/CrossDJ for proper connections with Audio 8. (Master L+ R and Cue L+R)
4. Verify correct operation of the Master and Cue outputs by using the Cross GUI only to playing a track.
5. Connect the U-Mix Control Pro (make sure all drivers are already installed)
6. Verify that audio configuration in Cross/CrossDj is still set for the Audio 8 Soundcard.
7. Select the MIDI mapping for your U-Mix Control Pro.
8. Verify correct operation.
Master and Monitor output should be used from the Audio 8.
Only a USB connection is required for yje U-Mix Control Pro.
Line inputs should be connected to the Audio 8.
This set up should by-pass the audio card on the U-Mix Control Pro but still use the U-Mix Control Pro's MIDI controls for performance.
Make sure you are set for internal mixing.
