Here is how it works with this mapping

Assume that you have 2 deck on. Decks A and B

To use the extended banks (being able to use locators 5-8 and samplers 5-8)

press shift+mid kill for the respective side.
That action activates the extended bank, wether you are using locators or sampler it is still controlled by the Loc/sam button.

To de-activate press shift+midkill again for whichever side you are using.

To see the decks C and D on the GUI you must turn them on.
When deck C and D are on, the sampler for the respective side is off.
Using the GUI you can press input mode for C or D to switch or you can switch from the controller by pressing shift+basskill on either side. This action only turn the deck on the GUI it does not allow you to control them from the UMCP-2

To swich control from on the UMCP-2 from A to C or B to D
press shift+Treblekill on the respective side to switch back press shift+treblekill.

In summary
Shift+Basskill= Switch GUI from Sampler to Deck and back (not control just what is being displyed)
Control= None
Vicual= Decks are now displayed

Shift+midkill= turn on locator/samplers 5-8 (use the loc/sam buttom to switch from locators to samplers) shift+ midkill switches from 1-4 to 5-8 and back.
Control= able to use locator/sampler 5-8
Visual=Jog button will blink while on

Shift-treblekill= Switches UMCP-2 control from A to C or B to D depending on which side.
Control= All controls for deck A now control Deck C
or all controls for deck B now control deck D
Visual= Ont he left and right the outermost bend button will blink.

Note that turnning on all A,B,C and deck turns off samplers that is a function of Cross however this mapping still allows for 8 locators in each deck.

Hope that explain it a bit better.

I am actualy understanding what action does activate what. but when it comes to the actiopn of mapping. when I go into the mapping file, crate my own mapping. I take the original U-Mix Control Pro 1 mapping and want to ad only the comand shift treblekill=switching and controlling deck c or d. how is this possible. can u exlpain this or is it too complicated?

I use shiftmodifier command 1 for A and 2 for B. the actions behind the scenes are much more complicated than just thos two commands. You can see that by all the other modifier commands that are maped.

As far as mapping anything to the kill switches using the shift key here are the instructions.

The obvious step are to open Cross, open the MIDI section, go your mapping. Then put the MIDI to learn as is done normally.

here is the 2 hands kicker

Press the shift button
Press the kill button

while still pressing those two buttons use the other hand to complete the operation with your mouse in the computer.

Once the learn window closes then you can let go of the button and the fuction will work only when you press shift and kill at the same time.

I can make a Contol Pro 1 mapping just out of coding but I wouldn't be able to test it correctly.
