U-Mix Control ProSetup Problems (Can't post in tech support)

Postby LordOrdner on 25 Apr 2013, 23:06

Hi,

My Control Pro is completely f??ked up. When I first installed it, it kept saying "Error, Can't use it because other applications are using it" (which is utter bullshit), so I did a system recovery and started from the very beginning.
Again I'm following all the steps in the manual (Windows), Installing the software and so on. After I'm done configuring, nothing happens next. It's just the power light that's glowing, and nothing else going on pretty much. CrossDJ doesn't really seem to recognize it.

What can I do?

Answers would be much appreciated!

Thanks for the quick answer!

So, after searching the forums for the 'proper drivers' as you suggested, I came to the conclusion that I don't even know what I'm looking for. There don't seem to be drivers for this controller? The only one I see is this Volume Panel stuff.. :(

This is my windows config: http://imgur.com/ScQjR1W

I just updated my firmware using this:
U-Mix Control Pro firmware 4.3

What I've tried:
- Used different USB Ports
- Installed CrossDJ version 1.5.3 / 2.4.0 and tried to configure my audio settings
- Tried out different windows audio settings

The thing that bothers me is that it worked at first, but I couldn't manage to use my headphone, because it said 'Error, some other application is using the controller, close that and retry'. There was no other app, so I just tried to reinstall. Then it didn't even turn on anymore... :(

  :?: are you using control pro or control pro two ,, the latest driver for pro 2 is on the cd installion disk ,, the volume panel is nessary to run both controllers ,, the screen shot shows that windows is using control pro ,and needs to be changed to the computer sc ,,, ,,post a audio config screen shot ,, the controller should be listed as asio um ix ,, if properly set up ,, when you get your posting priviliges sorted out then this topic page will be moved to teck support  no need to get anxious as to help is allways here

:)

What do you mean by 'changed to the computer sc'?

My cotroller is called 'Mixvibes U-Mix Control Pro' , so I think that's right.

Here are the audio configs.

And this is the error I get when I want to load a song:

I've got the Volume control panel now, still won't work..
I fixed that green thing on the U-Mix now..

Still can't load any songs :(
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.. Do I need to install this ASIO driver manually from http://www.asio4all.com/ ?

Really appreciate that you are trying to help me so much :)

As Dan has said it looks like Your OS, Windows is using the U-Mix Control Pro soundcard as the default one and this is "blocking" CrossDJ from picking it up

In Windows itself, set your on board soundcard (normally it's a Realtek or something like that) to default, then give CrossDJ another try

Hello guys,

So after various trying around, I managed to get it playing if I choose the 'Realtek High Definition Audio' Setting.
http://imgur.com/qMviLui --> This works, no headset sound though.
If I try to play a track with the Umix-Control settings on 'Mixvibes ASIO U-Mix Control Pro' , I cant load any tracks because it tells me to check my audio settings.
http://imgur.com/O3TfDQX --> This doesn't work.

This is how my audio settings in Windows 7 look like:

Is this the correct setup?

Also, I came across another weird occurence:
If I hit the configure button (http://imgur.com/7DC7lJv), and perform a test, I get sound from the Headset output on the controller! What the heck :D

Any ideas guys? I really hope so :(
