Turns out my CPU is a BGA socket, wich basicly means, that f***in' CPU of mine is soldered to the board

Finally i got a new CPU today
It is a T5850 with 2x 2.16 GHz 2MB found at ebay for 20 Euros
Before i had a T5250 with 2x 1.50 GHz.
But it is to early to say if it was worth the upgrade.
I will post my experience later.

Ok, so I reopen this topic, because I also have an urgent need for a new CPU.

The main thing tha bothers me, is that damn FSB. I read many things, but I'm puzzled right now.

Since FSB has two speeds, a Real clock, and an Effective clock, and turns out that the Effective clock is given as the CPU FSB speed, and the real clock can be calculated using the Bus/ Core ratio.

My FSB is 533MHz, the Real clock is 133MHz.

Anyone can help me giving directions about what should I buy and what not? I mean the proper CPU's that has the same FSB speeds are damn rare, so I need to check different FSB CPU-s.

I need some intel on this. Thanks in advance.

Turns out I was wrong, and when I repasted the heatings and stuff, I examined the socket, and the CPU is swapable, pin socket.

But unfortunattely, I'M not sure, that the CPU you showed is compatible with mine.

What about the FSB speeds? WIll they be compatible?

You should look up the specs with CPU-Z then we´ll know if the mainboard can handle the higher FSB.

But imo it shouldnt be a problem.
Worst case: you buy the T7700 for 26€ incl shipping and sell it again.
