no you are thinking on it in correctly, part of fourm protocal is to get a valid licence user to regerster there software ,in order not to enable user with pirated /illeagal copyies
its just a way of validating the software
help is still tried to be administered ,but the nessecity of regerstration is still there
plus the software badge and info hopefully put in the profile will short step some of the nessary need for info
the e mail he recieved has a order # or even serial.licence key # on it ,,,gather that info and try to put it in your profile or contack uncle vibes with this info ,,should get sorted ,,while that happening please leave nessary info as to your software and set up to aid you
