Yes you can do this with your setup.
if you use win7 you can make pictures from parts of your screen via the snipping tool. hit the windows button, enter "snipp" and hit enter to start it.

what version are you running ,
place the cursor over the red button in the upper right side of the gui, in 2.2 it should tell you that thats the record function
